Police arrest homeless man charged with sexual assault at Springfield parking garage

Austin Jaster was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail following an assault that he was interviewed about in the summer. Investigators say that a woman claimed Jaster choked and sexually assaulted her on the third level of a parking garage on East St. Louis Street in August. Police say Jaster has a long Criminal record. The Greene County Prosecutor has charged Jaster with assault, sexual abuse, and kidnapping in the case.
