Springfield Police executed a search warrant based on a report received regarding human remains. According to information provided to the police, a body was buried at 810 W. Catalpa.
No remains were found and Springfield Police state that this was not related to The Springfield Three.
The property, located just north of Parkview’s JFK Stadium, was purchased last year by a company registered as Grant Catalpa, LLC. The property was also owned for a time by the City of Springfield, followed by George Rensch, a local landlord and owner of a demolition company.
According to local news sources, a warrant was served at 810 W Catalpa in September of last year which resulted in the deployment of Springfield SWAT and numerous people being taken in to custody.
