A Look Inside: Wings of Faith Academy

Wings of Faith Academy is a Christian boarding school for “difficult or academically underperforming girls” located in Stockton, Missouri. Wings of Faith is registered as a Fictitious Name of Refuge of Grace Academy.

Wings of Faith/Refuge of Grace is run by Percy “Bud” and Debra Martin, along with Vice President James Clemensen, founder of Agape Boarding School. Joining those three on the Board of Directors is Jon Jenkins of Gaylord, Michigan, Boyd Collins of Summersville, West Virginia, and Charles Martin of Stockton.

Refuge of Grace Academy was registered with the state of Missouri in October of 2009. Before this, the Martins and James Clemensen established Refuge of Grace Baptist Church, now known as Valley Baptist Church of Stockton, in 2004.

Wings of Faith History

According to the Refuge of Grace Academy Website, Refuge of Grace was started in the Martin’s home in Clinton, Tennessee in 1994. After five years, Refuge of Grace relocated. According to reporting by the Kansas City Star, the Martin’s relocated many times before settling in Stockton, Missouri and eventually changing their name of Wings of Faith.
